Longing for Love
When you are longing for someone dear, it feels as though time stands still. We try to indulge in various chores and try to slog through the day. But we always have the picture of our loved one at the back of our head. In this painting, I've painted a newly wed bride, waiting for her husband to return from far off lands. I've used various textures and materials like cloth and mirrors to emphasis on how longingly the bride has decorated her self in anticipation of her husband's arrival. The saturated oranges and warm swathes of colours give this painting an authentic Indian look.
